The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the capture of Beaufort Castle after entering the Beaufort Ridge and Wadi al-Saluki areas in southern Lebanon. The operation aims to establish operational control over these areas and diminish Hezbollah’s capabilities in the region.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the IDF’s capture of Beaufort Castle, highlighting the historical significance of the location. He emphasized unity and strength in reclaiming the site, which holds symbolic value for Israel.
Hezbollah had been using the Beaufort Ridge for military activities and attacks, as per IDF reports. Netanyahu instructed the IDF to extend its presence in Lebanon, crossing the Litani River and seizing strategic positions previously held by Hezbollah.
