Italy’s dominant performance continued as they effortlessly chased down the target, courtesy of an outstanding 124-run unbeaten opening partnership between Justin and Anthony Mosca. Justin showcased his prowess by reaching his half-century in a mere 37 balls, finishing unbeaten at 60 with an impressive strike rate of 136.36. On the other hand, Anthony achieved his fifty in just 28 balls, remaining not out at 62 off 32 balls with a remarkable strike rate of 193.75.
In a display of sibling synergy, Justin and Anthony Mosca set a new record in T20 World Cups with their unbeaten 124-run partnership for the first wicket. Italy’s victory marked their first 10-wicket win in T20Is, solidifying their place in the tournament. The match also highlighted the second instance of an Associate team achieving a 10-wicket victory in the T20 World Cup, with Oman accomplishing a similar feat against PNG in 2021.
