Kalyanji, born Kalyanji Virji Shah on June 30, 1928, in Gujarat, was part of the renowned composer duo Kalyanji-Anandji, along with his brother Anandji. The duo created music for over 250 Bollywood films during their successful career spanning more than three decades. Some of their notable works include soundtracks for movies like ‘Don’, ‘Safar’, ‘Qurbani’, and ‘Muqaddar Ka Sikandar’.
