Jaipur Polo Team showcased a dominant performance, defeating Jaigarh 6-2 in the Shree Cement Cup semifinal. In the early stages, Jaipur took control with precise finishing, securing a significant lead in the first half. Despite a brief resurgence from Jaigarh in the third chukker, Jaipur effectively managed the game.
During the first chukker, Jaipur’s superior riding and positioning overwhelmed Jaigarh, who struggled to find their footing. By the end of the chukker, Jaipur had a commanding 3-0 lead, setting the tone for the match. Goals from Kr. Pratap Singh Kanota and two goals from Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh solidified Jaipur’s advantage.
The second chukker followed a similar pattern, with Jaipur’s teamwork and passing creating numerous opportunities while Jaigarh found it challenging to break through their defense. By halftime, Jaipur had extended their lead to 5-0, placing themselves firmly on the path to the final.
In the third chukker, Jaigarh displayed urgency and improved coordination, engaging in competitive exchanges. However, Jaipur maintained a comfortable 6-2 lead as they entered the final period. The last chukker was a controlled affair, with Jaipur focusing on ball possession and defense to secure their lead, resulting in a 6-2 victory.
Following this semifinal triumph, Jaipur Polo Team moves closer to their 10th trophy of the season. Maharaja Sawai Padmanabh Singh ended the match with four goals, bringing his total to 10 goals from two matches, while Kr. Pratap Singh Kanota contributed two goals to finalize the 6-2 scoreline. Earlier in the week, Jaipur Polo Team clinched their ninth title of the season with a narrow 6-5.5 victory over Krishna Polo in the SMS Gold Vase final.
