External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar engaged with foreign ministers from Estonia, France, Romania, Slovakia, Poland, and the Netherlands during the Informal Meeting of the European Union (EU) Foreign Ministers in Cyprus. He shared updates on his discussions with various counterparts, including those from Slovakia, France, Estonia, and the Netherlands. Jaishankar also participated in talks focusing on opportunities, collaborations, and shared interests within the evolving multipolar order.
On the sidelines of the EU Foreign Ministers’ meeting, Jaishankar interacted with Spanish Foreign Minister Jose Manuel Albares, emphasizing discussions on trade, technology, defense, and people-to-people connections. Additionally, he met with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha to address matters concerning the Ukraine conflict and explore avenues for enhancing bilateral cooperation. Jaishankar also held discussions with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister, Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, exchanging views on regional developments in West Asia.
Furthermore, Jaishankar’s engagements included a meeting with the EU’s High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas, focusing on India-EU cooperation and the geopolitical landscape in West Asia.
