External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar expressed optimism regarding the US-Iran negotiations, hoping for an early breakthrough to address the ongoing conflict that has left many nations as frustrated observers. During a panel discussion in Helsinki, Jaishankar highlighted India’s efforts to contribute to de-escalation amidst rising tensions globally.
Jaishankar emphasized the complexity of the situation in West Asia, noting India’s strong relations with key stakeholders like the US, Israel, Iran, and Gulf countries. He acknowledged India’s significant role on global issues and discussed the challenges posed by conflicts such as the Russia-Ukraine war and the situation involving Iran.
