Jaiyan, the nephew of the legendary Indian music composer Ilaiyaraaja, is set to step into the world of acting with his debut in the Tamil movie ‘Raja’s Playlist’. The film will be helmed by Sujith N. Subramaniam, known for his work as the cinematographer of the well-received film ‘Kudumbasthan’.
Hailing from a family deeply rooted in the Tamil film industry, Jaiyan is the youngest son of veteran producer R D Bhaskar and the nephew of the iconic musician Ilaiyaraaja. His father, the late R.D. Bhaskar, played a significant role in supporting Ilaiyaraaja during his early musical career.
Continuing the family’s cinematic legacy, Jaiyan will make his acting debut in ‘Raja’s Playlist’, a musical family drama that emphasizes themes of family bonds, relationships, and the enduring influence of music.
The movie boasts a lineup of renowned names from the Tamil film fraternity who share a long-standing association with Jaiyan and his family. Producer Ramanan Balagangatharan and filmmaker Venkat Prabhu are onboard for the project, with music composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, the youngest son of Ilaiyaraaja. Acclaimed filmmaker Sudha Kongara has also joined as the Creative Producer.
The cast of ‘Raja’s Playlist’ includes actors like Sona Olickal, Vagai Chandrasekhar, and Guru Somasundharam in pivotal roles, promising a cinematic experience that blends music, emotions, and compelling storytelling.
