Filmmaker James Gunn has dismissed rumors about expediting the production of ‘The Batman – Part 3’. Reports suggested that DC Studios, led by Gunn and Peter Safran, was hurrying to release a third Batman film with Robert Pattinson to avoid a clash with the upcoming ‘The Brave and The Bold’ movie. Gunn clarified on Threads, stating, “I don’t know what that is but I’m not fast tracking anything other than our scripts currently getting ready to go into production.”
James Gunn refuted claims made by writer and influencer @DanielRPK that he was aiming to wrap up the trilogy before the release of ‘The Brave and The Bold’. Gunn responded, “That’s incorrect. Well I mean I don’t know if it’s incorrect that DPK was told that, but the information is incorrect.” Currently, ‘The Batman – Part 2’ is in pre-production, where Robert Pattinson is set to reprise his role as the superhero in director Matt Reeves’ highly awaited sequel.
Actor Colin Farrell hinted that the upcoming movie will delve into deeper and darker themes compared to its 2022 predecessor. Despite his role as The Penguin being reduced, Farrell expressed excitement, mentioning, “I’ve got an even smaller role in this one. But I’m OK with that. I’ve read the script, from start to finish, and I can’t say much about it. But it’s deeper, scarier, the stakes are bigger. I’m really excited to see it.”
