A unique event took place in Srinagar to promote Jammu and Kashmir’s premium agricultural and food products globally. The ‘Jammu and Kashmir Agro and Food Fest: Buyer-Seller Meet 2026’ brought together local farmers, entrepreneurs, and international buyers to showcase Kashmiri products like saffron, honey, and dry fruits for global markets. The event, held at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre, attracted nearly 50 international buyers from 16 countries, highlighting the export potential of the region.
The festival aimed to familiarize local producers with international standards and certification processes while emphasizing the quality of Kashmiri products. Buyers from Malaysia, Japan, the UAE, and Europe expressed interest in Kashmiri goods, signaling promising export opportunities. Local entrepreneurs saw this event as a significant platform to introduce their products to a global audience for the first time, anticipating increased trade and global branding for Jammu and Kashmir.

Sachin Kumar from the Trade Promotion Council of India highlighted the initiative’s potential to benefit the local community by promoting regional food products globally. Entrepreneurs emphasized the importance of organizing such events regularly, citing the current festival’s successful execution and positive impact on public engagement.
