Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha participated in an anti-drug march in Ganderbal district and inaugurated the Yatri Bhawan at Mata Kheer Bhawani Temple. He stressed the importance of public involvement, especially among the youth, to combat substance abuse.
During the march, Lt Governor Sinha expressed his support for the ‘Drug-Free J&K’ campaign and highlighted the need for a united effort against narco-terrorism. The event, attended by various sections of society, aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drug abuse and promote community engagement in fighting the drug menace.
Officials revealed that the march was part of a 100-day anti-drug initiative focusing on awareness, community mobilization, and disrupting drug trafficking networks. Lt Governor Sinha interacted with participants, commending their commitment to the cause. The event concluded with a pledge to continue the fight against drug addiction and enhance awareness at the grassroots level.
