Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha commended the Union Budget 2026-27, highlighting its focus on propelling the economy towards a $5 trillion milestone and creating new job opportunities. He lauded the budget for its efforts to boost the tourism sector and enhance economic acceleration.

Sinha expressed appreciation towards Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman for their work on developing sustainable mountain trails in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that this initiative would not only generate employment but also rejuvenate the tourism industry.

The Lt Governor described the budget as transformative, emphasizing its aim to strengthen infrastructure, advance manufacturing capabilities, and promote welfare across various sectors. He noted the budget’s significance in reducing India’s reliance on other countries for rare earth elements and fostering growth in emerging industries.

With a focus on Artificial Intelligence, job creation, and service sector enhancement, Sinha believed that India’s competitive edge would strengthen across economic domains. He highlighted the budget’s vision to propel India towards a $5 trillion economy and ensure empowerment for youth, women, and farmers.

Sinha outlined the strategic sectors driving India’s economic momentum, including manufacturing, infrastructure, healthcare, and urban advancement. He expressed confidence in the budget’s ability to boost domestic production and create substantial employment opportunities.
