Jammu and Kashmir’s Lt. Governor, Manoj Sinha, offered prayers for peace, prosperity, health, and well-being during the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra Pratham Puja. This ceremony, held at the Holy Cave of Shri Amarnath Ji, signifies the beginning of the annual pilgrimage. L-G Sinha sought blessings from Baba Barfani and wished for the welfare of all participants.

The Lt. Governor warmly invited devotees of Baba Barfani to join the pilgrimage in large numbers and partake in the spiritual journey. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of various stakeholders, including the Administration, Shrine Board, Army, Police, and local community, to ensure a safe and memorable experience for all pilgrims. The Yatra is set to start on July 3rd via both traditional routes, Pahalgam axis, and the Baltal route, and will conclude on August 28.

The Shri Amarnath Ji Shrine Board organizes the Pratham Puja annually on Jyeshtha Purnima at the Holy Cave. Notable officials like DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat and other senior authorities were present during the ceremony. Stringent security measures have been put in place for this year’s pilgrimage. Lt. Governor Sinha expressed gratitude for the support and readiness of the people of Jammu and Kashmir in welcoming devotees for a spiritually enriching journey.
