Jammu and Kashmir Minister Javed Ahmad Rana expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Omar Abdullah for approving the construction of a helipad and waiting lounge in Mendhar, Poonch district. The project, costing Rs 3.35 crore, aims to enhance emergency response capabilities and improve accessibility in the border area along the Line of Control (LoC).
Rana highlighted that the helipad and waiting lounge will aid in swift responses during medical emergencies, disaster management, and other urgent situations. This infrastructure will also support administrative and relief operations in the challenging geographical and logistical terrain of the region.
The Minister praised the Chief Minister’s commitment to balanced regional development and the welfare of residents in remote and border areas. He emphasized the importance of improved connectivity through helipads, especially in areas where road access is limited or weather conditions affect transportation.
Rana expressed his gratitude for the Chief Minister’s support in strengthening infrastructure in remote areas along the LoC. He reiterated the government’s dedication to enhancing infrastructure, accessibility, and developmental initiatives in all corners of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly in underserved and border regions.
