Pundir led the team’s dominance, with Samad replacing Paras Dogra after he was hit by a bouncer from Vijaykumar Vyshak.
Abdul Samad played a crucial role, scoring boundaries and supporting Pundir, who completed his maiden century in the final with a six off Shikhar Shetty’s delivery. Samad also reached his fifty off 64 balls. The partnership between Pundir and Samad helped the team reach a total of 284/2 by the end of the day, with Pundir scoring 117 not out and Samad at 52 not out.
Earlier in the day, Yawer Hassan and Pundir had a strong start, with Yawer contributing 60 runs and Pundir adding 40 runs before Yawer was dismissed for 88 runs. Jammu and Kashmir had a solid start after opting to bat first, with openers Qamran Iqbal and Yawer facing a testing time against Karnataka’s bowling attack.
