Jammu & Kashmir made history by winning their first-ever Ranji Trophy title after dominating Karnataka in the final match at the Hubli Cricket Ground. Led by strong performances in both batting and bowling, Jammu & Kashmir secured a significant first-innings lead and settled for a draw against Karnataka, leading to their triumph. The match saw emotional celebrations as Jammu & Kashmir claimed the prestigious domestic cricket trophy.

The visitors took early control by opting to bat first, with Shubham Pundir’s historic century setting the tone for their dominance. Supported by Yawer Hassan and Abdul Samad, Jammu & Kashmir built a substantial lead in the first innings, eventually declaring at 342/4 in their second innings. The match concluded with both teams agreeing to a draw, sealing Jammu & Kashmir’s long-awaited victory.

Jammu & Kashmir’s all-round performance, including notable contributions from Paras Dogra, Kanhaiya Wadhawan, and Sahil Lotra, showcased their depth and determination throughout the final. Despite a strong fight from Karnataka, Jammu & Kashmir’s disciplined bowling, led by Auqib Nabi Dar, ensured their commanding lead and eventual triumph.
