Opener Qamran Iqbal played a crucial role as Jammu & Kashmir fought back against Karnataka on Day 4 of the Ranji Trophy Final. Despite a shaky start at 11/2, J&K’s batters, including Dogra and Qamran, showed resilience against Karnataka’s bowlers, building a 61-run partnership.
Qamran, nearing his half-century, led the innings after Dogra’s dismissal, supported by Abdul Samad. J&K extended their lead to 380 runs against Karnataka, with Samad unbeaten at 8 runs. Karnataka had a strong start in the second innings, but J&K remains in a commanding position.
Earlier, Jammu & Kashmir posted a total of 584 in the first innings, with Shubham Pundir, Yawer Hassan, Sahil Lotra, Kanhaiya Wadhawan, and Paras Dogra contributing significantly. Karnataka, in response, managed 293 all out, with J&K now leading by 380 runs at Tea on Day 4.
