Police in Jammu and Kashmir’s Jammu demolished three properties valued at Rs 4 crore owned by a notorious drug peddler named Navjot Singh alias Bablu. The demolition, carried out by Jammu Headquarters Zone Police in Miran Sahib in collaboration with the District Administration, targeted the properties due to the drug dealer’s involvement in 15 pending FIRs.
In a unique turn of events, the police temporarily halted the demolition to retrieve two national flags displayed on the contested property. During an ongoing demolition drive against the suspected drug peddler’s properties in the Miran Sahib area on the outskirts of Jammu city, the police ensured the respectful removal of the Tricolour before continuing the operation.
Amidst the anti-drug efforts, the police in Srinagar district also seized properties worth Rs 5 crore belonging to drug peddlers in Srinagar and nearby regions. This action marks the largest property attachment related to drug peddlers since the commencement of the “Nasha Mukt Jammu and Kashmir Abhiyaan” by Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on April 6.
