Jamshedpur FC claimed a significant 2-0 victory over FC Goa in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2025-26 at the JRD Tata Sports Complex in Jamshedpur. The match saw Mohammed Sanan breaking the deadlock in the 82nd minute, followed by Madih Talal sealing the win in stoppage time. With this win, Jamshedpur FC moved to the top of the table with 21 points from 11 matches, while FC Goa slipped to third place with 19 points.

Jamshedpur FC’s head coach, Owen Coyle, fielded an unchanged lineup from their previous 4-1 victory over Chennaiyin FC. On the other hand, FC Goa’s head coach, Manolo Márquez, made a single enforced change by bringing in Mohammed Yasir in place of the injured Dejan Dražić. The match began with FC Goa having more possession, but Jamshedpur gradually gained control as the game progressed.

The hosts created better opportunities as the first half unfolded, with Mohammed Sanan, Lalhriatpuia Chawngthu, and Nikhil Barla coming close to scoring. Madih Talal, a standout performer in midfield, played a crucial role throughout the game. In the second half, Jamshedpur continued to dominate play, with Talal and Nikola Stojanović controlling the midfield effectively.

In the 83rd minute, Jamshedpur broke the deadlock when Mohammed Sanan cleverly flicked the ball past FC Goa’s defense from a corner delivered by Talal. Despite FC Goa’s efforts to equalize, Jamshedpur’s defense held firm. In the dying moments of the game, Madih Talal secured the victory with a precise strike from outside the box, ensuring Jamshedpur FC’s control at the top of the league table.
