Hollywood actors Jessica Chastain and Chris Pine are teaming up for a new project set to debut at the upcoming European Film Market. The film, titled ‘This Is Pleasure,’ is an adaptation of Mary Gaitskill’s novella and will be helmed by directors Shari Springer Berman and Robert Pulcini. Chastain will portray Margot, while Pine will play the role of Quin, in a storyline that delves into accusations of misconduct affecting their friendship.
The screenplay for ‘This Is Pleasure’ was adapted by Nina Raine from Gaitskill’s novella, known for its insightful take on the #MeToo movement. The production is a collaboration between Fremantle, Killer Films, Freckle Films, and Barry Linen Motion Pictures. Chastain, a versatile actress known for her work in both mainstream and independent cinema, has garnered critical acclaim for her roles in various films, including ‘Zero Dark Thirty,’ ‘Interstellar,’ and ‘The Eyes of Tammy Faye.’
