Jharkhand is transitioning from a mineral-driven economy to a knowledge-based growth model, emphasized Chief Minister Hemant Soren. This shift is aimed at leveraging technology, research, innovation, and inclusive development. The state recently hosted a National Stakeholders Consultation in New Delhi to attract global and domestic investments, particularly in IT, AI, and other emerging sectors.
Soren, speaking at the event, highlighted the state’s future direction towards intellectual capital and innovation. He stressed that Jharkhand’s identity would now be defined by ‘minds’ and research, moving away from a sole reliance on mineral wealth. The Chief Minister outlined a vision centered on technology, research, and innovation for the state’s development model.
Underlining Jharkhand’s readiness for technological advancements, Soren mentioned the state’s participation in the World Economic Forum. He expressed the state’s commitment to showcasing strengths on global platforms and enhancing its international presence. Emphasizing the importance of tailored development strategies, Soren stated that Jharkhand would focus on utilizing its own resources and strengths for growth.
