Jindal Global University (JGU) recently inked Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with 10 prominent universities across 5 countries during the QS India Summit 2026 in Goa. These agreements signify JGU’s ongoing commitment to global academic collaboration, focusing on areas like student and faculty exchange, joint research, and academic initiatives aligned with partner institutions’ priorities.
The universities with which the MoUs were signed include The University of British Columbia, Simon Fraser University, Royal Roads University, University of Guelph, and Brock University in Canada; University of Otago in New Zealand; University of Sheffield and University of Stirling in the United Kingdom; Delta University for Science and Technology in Egypt; and Shinawatra University in Thailand.
This milestone elevates JGU’s international partnerships to over 600, spanning 80+ countries globally. These collaborations aim to enhance opportunities for JGU students and faculty in areas such as international mobility, academic exchange, joint research, and institutional cooperation with renowned universities worldwide.
Dr. C. Raj Kumar, Founding Vice Chancellor of JGU, emphasized the significance of global academic partnerships in fostering broader intellectual and societal impacts. He highlighted the importance of universities engaging globally to contribute meaningfully to global knowledge and public welfare.
Professor Padmanabha Ramanujam, Dean of Academic Governance & Student Life at JGU, stressed the need for structured and outcome-oriented collaborations in international academic partnerships. He underlined the value of producing measurable outcomes through research, academic exchange, and faculty engagement.
These agreements further JGU’s internationalization agenda, as noted by Dr. Akhil Bhardwaj, Vice Dean of International Affairs & Global Initiatives at JGU. The MoUs are set to enhance student and faculty engagement, facilitating student mobility, faculty exchange, and collaborative academic programs.
The QS India Summit 2026 convened leaders from higher education institutions in India and abroad to discuss academic innovation, institutional collaboration, and emerging priorities in global higher education.
