The Jammu and Kashmir Crime Branch has filed a chargesheet against two individuals in a case involving forged appointment orders in the Agriculture Department. The chargesheet was submitted by the Economic Offences Wing before the Court of Judicial Magistrate 1st Class, Chadoora, Budgam. The accused are alleged to have attempted to deceive government job seekers.
The chargesheet pertains to FIR No. 43/2021 under various sections of the Indian Penal Code. Showkat Ahmad Hajam and Irshad Ahmad Ahanger are the accused in this case related to fake appointment orders. The case was initiated based on a complaint from the Deputy Director, Agriculture, regarding a woman trying to join the Directorate using a counterfeit appointment letter.
The investigation revealed that the accused were involved in a conspiracy to create and utilize fake appointment orders to deceive job seekers. Despite no financial transactions being established during the probe, the accused’s actions were deemed an attempt to deceive under Section 511 of the IPC. The chargesheet has been filed for judicial review, as per official statements.
