J&K Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha led a high-level meeting in Pahalgam to assess arrangements for the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra (SANJY-2026) starting on July 3.
The meeting included officials like Mandeep K Bhandari, Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, Anshul Garg, VK Birdi, M. Suleman Choudhary, Bilal Mohiuddin Bhat, Amod Nagpure Ashok, and various civil administration, police, and security personnel.
Sinha oversaw logistics, healthcare, sanitation, power supply, road connectivity, RFID cards, traffic management, and security measures for the pilgrimage, emphasizing seamless operations and safety for all participants.
He stressed disaster management, weather-based evacuation plans, Mountain Response Teams deployment, crowd analysis, and efficient traffic control, while highlighting the need for coordinated efforts, timely completion of tasks, and adequate resources.
Deputy Commissioner Anantnag and SSP Anantnag briefed on preparations and security protocols, with Sinha expressing confidence in a secure and fulfilling experience for pilgrims, supported by local residents and authorities.
