J&K Lt Governor, Manoj Sinha, revealed the J&K Bank wall and table calendars for 2026 at the Lok Bhawan in Jammu. The Wall Calendar focuses on the theme “Rivers of J&K and Ladakh,” while the Table Calendar highlights the region’s “Historic Places,” showcasing the rich heritage and natural beauty of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh.
The Lt Governor praised J&K Bank for choosing distinctive themes that promote the preservation of ancient monuments, archaeological sites, and traditions for future generations. He stressed the importance of society uniting to protect these invaluable treasures and emphasized the need to safeguard the Earth’s ecosystems, especially the rivers in J&K that provide fresh water, ensure food security, and support biodiversity conservation.
Amitava Chatterjee, Managing Director and CEO of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Limited, mentioned that the 2026 calendars pay tribute to the rivers vital for life in the regions and the historic sites that shape their common heritage. The calendars also highlight public welfare programs like Mission YUVA and PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, in addition to J&K Bank’s key services such as Housing Loan, Car Loan, Personal Consumption Loan, and Online Account Opening, underscoring the bank’s role in fostering development and fulfilling people’s aspirations.
