The Joint Commanders’ Conference, focusing on “Military Capability in New Domains,” is scheduled to take place in Jaipur on May 7 and 8, 2026. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan will be in attendance at this high-level event. The conference coincides with the first anniversary of Operation Sindoor, a significant tri-service operation showcasing India’s political determination and military precision.
The conference is being held at a time when modern warfare is increasingly influenced by technology. With the rise of artificial intelligence, unmanned systems, and unconventional threats, the armed forces are gearing up to tackle challenges in cyber, space, and cognitive warfare. This event will provide a crucial platform to evaluate emerging threats and strategize towards building a resilient and future-ready military with a strong strategic advantage.
A key focus of the conference will be to expedite indigenisation efforts and bolster the ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’ initiative by fostering innovation and enhancing collaboration between civil and military sectors within the domestic defence setup. The program will also showcase demonstrations of advanced technologies and futuristic applications developed by the armed forces, along with the unveiling of new doctrines related to next-generation warfare concepts and operational strategies.
The Joint Commanders’ Conference underscores India’s commitment to enhancing its defence capabilities while aligning strategic objectives with the evolving dynamics of global security.
