Hollywood actor Jonathan Bailey is set to collaborate with Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman in an upcoming film titled “Pumping Black.” The movie, described as a psychological thriller, is based in the competitive world of professional cycling. Directed by Mimi Cave, known for her work in horror and comedy-mystery genres, the film follows the story of cyclist Taylor Mace, struggling with aging out of the sport.
“Pumping Black” delves into the journey of Taylor Mace, a 35-year-old cyclist facing challenges in his career. The plot unfolds as he seeks guidance from Andrea Lathe, a determined doctor with her own ambitions. As the narrative progresses towards the Tour de France, Taylor is compelled to resort to extreme measures to safeguard his hidden truth, creating an intense and suspenseful atmosphere akin to movies like ‘Whiplash’ and ‘Black Swan.’
The production of “Pumping Black” is in the hands of Stacey Sher at Shiny Penny, along with Natalie Portman and Sophie Mas from MountainA.
