Actor Jyotika has expressed solidarity with the ongoing protests against the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) and has demanded reforms in the medical entrance examination system. She also called for the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, joining students in their advocacy for change.

The demonstrations against NEET have gained momentum across the country, with student organizations, youth groups, and political activists raising concerns about alleged irregularities in the examination process. The recent ‘Sansad Chalo’ march in New Delhi further fueled the protests, with demands for a transparent investigation into reported question paper leaks and other controversies.

In Tamil Nadu, where opposition to NEET has been strong, student unions and various organizations continue to stage protests, emphasizing the need to abolish the examination. Public figures and celebrities have also lent their support to the movement, expressing worries about the exam’s impact on students and education.

Jyotika, in a social media post, urged Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to step down, emphasizing her commitment to a democratic India and educational transformation. She commended the younger generation for advocating on educational and democratic issues, highlighting the importance of collective action in bringing about change.

The actor’s statement aligns with a growing chorus of voices from various sectors, including politicians, actors, educationists, and civil society groups, all pushing for reforms in the NEET examination system and increased transparency in its management.
