Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) working president K.T. Rama Rao accused Chief Minister Revanth Reddy of lacking understanding on river water matters. Speaking at a felicitation event for grassroots representatives, Rama Rao praised their victory for boosting the party’s morale. He criticized the Congress government for evading serious questions raised by former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) on irrigation projects and governance.
Challenging the Chief Minister to address issues openly rather than through leaks, Rama Rao highlighted the government’s inadequate handling of Krishna river waters. He condemned irrigation ministers for their ignorance and misleading statements, emphasizing their disconnect from farmers’ needs. Rama Rao accused the government of obstructing crucial irrigation projects like the Palamuru–Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Scheme.
Asserting KCR’s efforts for Telangana’s water rights, Rama Rao criticized the Congress government for incompetence and lack of courage in responding. He called out the government for failing to fulfill promises to farmers and agricultural laborers, diverting attention through leaks against KCR. Rama Rao vowed to continue fighting for justice for Telangana’s farmers, undeterred by threats or legal actions.
