Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) Working President K.T. Rama Rao has strongly criticized the Special Investigation Team’s notice to party president K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the phone tapping case. He labeled it as a vindictive act and an attempt by the Telangana government to divert attention from its failures. Rama Rao emphasized that the notice to KCR is not an investigative move but a form of political revenge.
Rama Rao, expressing his discontent on social media, stated that the actions against KCR are driven by political malice rather than justice. He praised KCR as a great leader who played a pivotal role in achieving statehood for Telangana and highlighted his contributions to the state’s development over the years. Rama Rao accused the current Congress government of targeting KCR unjustly and failing to fulfill its promises to the people of Telangana.
Asserting that KCR holds a special place in the hearts of Telangana residents, Rama Rao warned against attempts to undermine the state’s history and self-respect. He vowed to stand by the people in opposing what he perceives as an unjust regime and stressed that the legacy of Telangana will be shaped by the people’s verdict, not by investigations. The SIT’s notice to KCR comes in the context of alleged phone tapping activities during the previous BRS government, targeting various individuals including political opponents, businessmen, journalists, and judges.
