Kanpur Cyber Crime Police have made arrests in a case involving objectionable social media posts aimed at Aditi Yadav, the daughter of Samajwadi Party National President Akhilesh Yadav. Nageshwar Singh Baghel from Madhya Pradesh was arrested after a complaint by the Samajwadi Party Advocates’ Wing. The police used digital tracking and social media analysis to identify the accused.
Baghel, the arrested individual, was granted bail after being produced before a court. The police are now working to locate and apprehend other suspects involved in the case. Investigators discovered that one of the controversial social media accounts was allegedly operated from the United States. The cyber police are conducting a thorough investigation into the matter.
Recent FIRs have been filed against individuals for objectionable comments about Akhilesh Yadav’s daughter. In a related development, political leader Prashant Mehto from Madhya Pradesh was booked in connection with the controversy. This action followed a complaint by Samajwadi Party’s Madhya Pradesh president Manoj Yadav in Bhopal.
The controversy arose after fake and defamatory social media posts targeted Aditi Yadav, a student at University College London and Akhilesh Yadav’s elder daughter. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath publicly supported Aditi Yadav and directed the police to take strict action against those responsible for the false claims. The Chief Minister emphasized that such comments against a daughter are unacceptable and ordered FIRs to be registered against the offenders.
