Notably, he unfollowed industry big names like Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Malaika Arora, and Manish Malhotra, along with close associates Varun Dhawan, Sidharth Malhotra, and Alia Bhatt, whom he launched in “Student Of The Year”.
Interestingly, even though he removed many industry figures, Karan Johar still follows Priyanka Chopra on Instagram. Apart from Priyanka, his following list now mainly includes Dharma CEO Apoorva Mehta and business partner Adar Poonawalla.
With his Instagram following reduced to 78 accounts, Karan Johar’s social media move has left fans curious about the reasons behind the unfollowing spree. Despite this, he remains active on the platform, sharing updates and engaging with his 17 million followers.
On the professional front, Karan recently produced “Chand Mera Dil” starring Ananya Panday and Lakshya, which received mixed reviews upon its theatrical release on May 22. Additionally, he is gearing up for his upcoming production “Naagzilla”, featuring Kartik Aaryan in the lead role.
