Bollywood actress Karisma Kapoor fondly remembered her childhood visits to Metro Cinema to watch her uncle, the legendary Rishi Kapoor, perform the iconic song ‘Dafli Wale’. She expressed her emotional connection to the song, stating that it always brings back memories of her beloved “Chintu Uncle” playing the dafli.

Karisma Kapoor, currently a judge on the show India’s Best Dancer, was joined by fellow judge Jaaved Jaaferi, who also professed his admiration for Rishi Kapoor. Jaaved praised Rishi Kapoor’s musical prowess on screen, particularly highlighting his convincing portrayal of playing the dafli in the song.

During a performance on the song ‘Dafli Wale’ by contestant Geetanjali, Jaaved Jaaferi’s revelation about his fandom for Rishi Kapoor unfolded. The song, from the 1979 film ‘Sargam’, featured Rishi Kapoor and Jaya Prada, with vocals by Lata Mangeshkar and Mohammed Rafi, composed by Laxmikant–Pyarelal, and penned by Anand Bakshi.
