The Union Ministry of Agriculture has approved Karnataka Agriculture Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy’s plea for the release of pending funds under the PM-Kisan scheme for the state’s farmers. Minister Cheluvarayaswamy expressed gratitude towards Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan for addressing the technical issues and ensuring timely financial aid for eligible farmers.
Following the Ministry’s action, eligible farmers are set to receive the much-needed financial assistance promptly. Minister Cheluvarayaswamy has directed department officials to hasten the verification process for the remaining farmers to include them in the scheme at the earliest.
In response to Minister Cheluvarayaswamy’s communication on December 17, 2025, Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan confirmed that over 22,000 beneficiaries have been listed for the 22nd instalment’s payment. The funds for these beneficiaries will be disbursed soon, with a commitment to include the remaining cases once the state completes verification procedures.
