Karnataka BJP criticized Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in Lok Sabha, for not engaging in discussions on the NEET controversy in Parliament. The party accused him of leading the ‘Tukde-Tukde’ gang and avoiding participation in parliamentary debates. BJP’s R. Ashoka emphasized the importance of elected representatives presenting their views during sessions and questioned Gandhi’s decision to protest instead of discussing the NEET issue.

The BJP leader alleged that Rahul Gandhi and the Congress had politicized the NEET matter, drawing parallels between the protests in Delhi and those in other countries like Bangladesh and Nepal. Ashoka criticized the Congress for what he called “political match-fixing” and highlighted instances of leaked examination papers in the past where no resignations occurred. He stated that a party that plays politics with students’ futures lacks moral integrity.

Ashoka also referenced incidents of leaked question papers in the Karnataka Public Service Commission and during the UPA government, questioning the lack of accountability. He expressed concern over student suicides related to the NEET controversy and criticized the Congress for not taking responsibility for such tragedies. Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, the Leader of the Opposition in the Karnataka Legislative Council, further accused Rahul Gandhi of leading the ‘Tukde-Tukde gang’ and raised questions about his frequent overseas travels.

Narayanaswamy insinuated that controversies often arise in India whenever Rahul Gandhi travels abroad and questioned if he seeks support from countries like China, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. He also criticized the Congress for questioning the BJP’s registration status while raising doubts about the Congress party’s own registration.
