The Karnataka BJP fact-finding committee inspected Fakir Colony and Wasim Layout near Kogilu Layout in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, where government land structures were razed. BJP MLA S.R. Vishwanath revealed that nearly 95% of the demolished houses and sheds were built in the last two years. A protest is scheduled at the Kogilu Layout site on January 5, as announced by Vishwanath.
He mentioned that a comprehensive report on the Kogilu Layout matter would be submitted to the BJP state president within the next two days. The report will cover aspects like land transfer to BBMP, survey numbers, legalities, and other relevant information. Discussions are ongoing on whether to present the report to the Governor or challenge the issue in court.
Vishwanath demanded that local residents be provided houses at a cost of Rs 2.5 lakh each. He emphasized the need for action against those involved in alleged illegal house allotments and monetary transactions. The issue has sparked a call for strict measures against individuals engaged in malpractices.
