Karnataka Bharatiya Janata Party State President, B.Y. Vijayendra, strongly criticized All India Congress Committee President Mallikarjun Kharge for reportedly labeling Prime Minister Narendra Modi as a “terrorist,” deeming it derogatory and indicative of a negative mindset. Vijayendra emphasized that such remarks not only display arrogance but also disrespect the Indian citizens who have consistently voted for PM Modi.
Vijayendra highlighted that Congress leaders have a history of resorting to offensive language during elections, despite facing repercussions from the public. He underscored PM Modi’s global recognition as a significant international figure, honored by various countries with prestigious awards for his leadership qualities. The BJP leader condemned Kharge’s behavior as unbecoming of a senior leader, attributing his comments to political motives.
Vijayendra called for Kharge to apologize for his statement, asserting that such language has no place in democratic discussions. He accused Kharge of using disrespectful language against the Prime Minister out of desperation due to the Congress party’s electoral setbacks. The BJP leader contrasted PM Modi’s electoral successes with the Congress’s diminishing performance over the past decade, criticizing the party’s declining relevance in various states.
The BJP leader further alleged that under Kharge’s leadership, the Congress has been losing significance across states, struggling to regain political footing. He suggested that Kharge’s statements were influenced by the party’s central leadership, undermining democratic principles and potentially harming the Congress politically. Vijayendra emphasized that the party’s strategy of criticism and personal attacks would not resonate with voters, citing similar approaches that led to the party’s decline in multiple states.
