The Karnataka BJP expressed deep sorrow over a tragic incident in Bengaluru where seven people, including three children, lost their lives due to a compound wall collapse at Bowring Hospital during heavy rain. The incident, which also affected roadside vendors seeking shelter from the rain, has raised concerns about infrastructure safety in the city.

State BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra emphasized the need for immediate government action to address the tragedy, provide medical care to the injured, and support the families of the deceased. He called for preventive measures to avoid such incidents during the rainy season, highlighting the importance of repairing deteriorating structures.

Vijayendra extended condolences to the victims’ families, particularly those who lost young children, and offered prayers for the departed souls. The collapse, occurring amid heavy rain, hail, and thunderstorms, resulted in casualties at Bowring Hospital, with the death toll expected to increase as rescue efforts continue.

Congress MLA Rizwan Arshad confirmed the tragic loss of seven lives in the wall collapse incident, emphasizing the urgent need for government intervention. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah visited the site to assess the situation, while rescue operations saved several individuals trapped under the debris, receiving treatment at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.

Authorities reported that seven individuals, including children, are feared dead under the collapsed wall, pending official confirmation. Both hospital and police officials are yet to release an official statement on the incident, as investigations into the cause of the collapse are ongoing.
