Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra expressed that the Congress high command’s alleged decision to replace the Chief Minister signifies a failure in governance by the Siddaramaiah-led government. Vijayendra emphasized that early elections in the state are now unavoidable. Following extensive meetings in Delhi, a call was made for the Chief Minister’s resignation, indicating, according to Vijayendra, the Congress party’s impending decline.
Vijayendra highlighted that regardless of who succeeds Siddaramaiah, the tenure would be temporary, and early elections in Karnataka are inevitable. He anticipated post-resignation confusion and emphasized that Siddaramaiah’s departure is imminent due to the high command’s directive. The BJP President pointed out the state’s mounting debt crisis, attributing it to Siddaramaiah’s tenure, and criticized the Congress for internal conflicts weakening governance.
Stressing the need for a change in leadership, Vijayendra criticized the Congress government for alleged corruption and lack of developmental progress in the state. He cited scandals like the Valmiki Corporation and MUDA scams, along with reported suicides of officials, as indicators of the government’s failures. Vijayendra concluded that the Congress administration’s focus on corruption had led to its downfall and necessitated a shift in leadership.
