Karnataka BJP President B.Y. Vijayendra criticized the Congress party for using guarantee schemes to win elections. He expressed concern over the streak of victories achieved through these means and warned that it would not last long. Vijayendra highlighted the alleged misuse of guarantee funds by the government as an election strategy during a press conference in Bengaluru.
Referring to past political events, Vijayendra questioned the outcomes of previous by-elections under Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s leadership. He reminded that despite earlier wins, the Congress government was later voted out in general elections. Vijayendra accused the government of portraying guarantees as development initiatives and emphasized the need for transparency in governance.
The BJP leader raised issues related to employment generation and criticized the Congress government for jeopardizing the future of youth. He pointed out discrepancies in the government’s approach to education policies and highlighted the lack of implementation of key educational reforms. Vijayendra also accused the Chief Minister of negligence in addressing critical issues such as the Valmiki Development Corporation scam and alleged irregularities in the Education Department.
