Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra criticized Chief Minister Siddaramaiah for disappointing the state’s people with the recent Budget presentation. Vijayendra expressed dissatisfaction, stating that the Budget, though well-written, did not benefit the state residents. He highlighted the significant increase in state government borrowings over the years.

Vijayendra accused Siddaramaiah of lacking a clear vision in the Budget and criticized the reduced allocation to the education sector. He also pointed out the alleged lack of interest among ruling Congress MLAs during the Budget reading. The BJP leader further criticized the government’s focus on the Excise Department for revenue generation.

Vijayendra raised concerns about the neglect of various sectors, including health, irrigation projects, and the development of specific regions like North Karnataka and the coastal area. He emphasized the absence of a comprehensive development vision for the state in the Budget, calling for more attention to be given to different regions for overall progress.
