Karnataka BJP President and MLA B.Y. Vijayendra stated that the cross-voting controversy in the recent Legislative Council elections has been resolved, emphasizing that it is now closed. Amid reports of internal discord within the party post-elections, Vijayendra addressed concerns and confirmed the conclusion of the cross-voting issue.
Responding to queries about an audio clip allegedly involving senior BJP leader D.V. Sadananda Gowda, Vijayendra mentioned that Gowda had already clarified the situation. He affirmed that Sadananda Gowda denied his involvement in the audio clip, effectively addressing the matter.
Vijayendra, without delving further into the issues, assured that the party would persist in strengthening its organization despite internal challenges. He highlighted ongoing efforts to boost party morale and organizational activities, aiming to overcome internal differences and maintain unity.
Accusing the Congress government of pressuring farmers regarding the Bidadi Township project, Vijayendra urged Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar to engage in consultations with farmers rather than resorting to forceful tactics. He criticized the government’s approach of allegedly coercing farmers to give up their agricultural land for the project, emphasizing the need for dialogue and respect for farmers’ concerns.
Vijayendra indicated that the BJP would address various issues, including electoral roll revisions, the alleged Gruha Lakshmi scheme scam, and farmer-related concerns through continued agitation. He highlighted upcoming plans for protests and discussions on these matters during the Legislative Assembly session.
