The Karnataka BJP has demanded the immediate declaration of the Sringeri Assembly constituency recount results as per the High Court order. The party alleged that the Congress government is pressuring officials in the state. The recount and reverification of postal ballots in Sringeri, as ordered by the Karnataka High Court, have been completed, with the BJP claiming victory based on figures provided by the Election Officer.

Sitting Congress MLA T.D. Rajegowda claimed victory following the recount, celebrating with supporters near the counting center. Opposition Leader R. Ashoka accused the Congress government of pressuring election officials not to declare the Sringeri results. The BJP emphasized that their candidate, D.N. Jeevaraj, received more postal votes in the constituency.

Union Minister Pralhad Joshi stated that the BJP candidate’s victory in the postal ballot recount for Sringeri is evident and urged the immediate announcement of results. He highlighted the need to comply with the High Court’s order without further delay. Referring to the court’s directions, Joshi emphasized the importance of following the High Court’s order regarding the recount of postal ballots.
