Karnataka’s Chief Electoral Officer, V. Anbu Kumar, announced that over 80% of Enumeration Forms have been distributed as part of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls. The revision process, directed by the Election Commission of India, began on June 30 and will continue until July 29.
Anbu Kumar stated that 1,30,975 Enumeration Forms were identified as undelivered due to various reasons, such as voter deaths, permanent migration, enrollment elsewhere, absence, or refusal to sign. Booth Level Officers are required to provide valid reasons for undistributed forms and share uncollectable form lists with Booth Level Agents.
District-wise, 112 out of Karnataka’s 224 Assembly constituencies have achieved over 90% distribution of Enumeration Forms, with districts like Chitradurga, Davanagere, and Karwar leading in distribution percentages. However, urban areas like Bengaluru and city corporations like Kalaburagi have shown slower distribution rates, though officials have been instructed to expedite the process.
