Newly appointed Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar has assigned portfolios to 13 members of his Council of Ministers, with Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara among them. The list has been sent for official notification to Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot. Former Chief Minister Siddaramaiah’s son, Yathindra Siddaramaiah, has been given the Urban Development portfolio, his first ministerial role.
Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar will oversee key departments such as Finance, Cabinet Affairs, DPAR, Intelligence, and all unallocated portfolios. Yathindra Siddaramaiah will be responsible for Urban Development, including various urban development authorities, in his debut ministerial position.
Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwara has been assigned Revenue and Sports, having previously managed the Home Department in the previous government. The portfolio distribution has been finalized following the formation of the new Cabinet, awaiting formal approval from the Governor.
