Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, speaking at the Police Flag Day celebrations in Bengaluru, emphasized the need for stringent measures to tackle increasing crime rates in certain categories. Despite the state’s high conviction rates, he highlighted the importance of reducing crimes where rates exceed the national average.

Siddaramaiah commended the police department’s performance and stressed the necessity of greater accountability within police stations to prevent illegal activities. He also called for the utilization of technology to combat cybercrimes and other emerging threats effectively.
