The Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) General Body meeting, chaired by KPCC President B.K. Hariprasad in Bengaluru, passed resolutions including a call for a CBI probe into alleged funds and valuables theft from the Ram Mandir Trust. They also urged for a Rs 10,000 crore special package from the Centre to address the drought situation in Karnataka.
The KPCC alleged mismanagement of funds by the Ram Mandir Trust, claiming misappropriation of cash, gold, silver, and diamonds worth thousands of crores. They demanded a thorough investigation by a Special Investigation Team (SIT) and the CBI, emphasizing the need to punish the guilty parties.
Additionally, the KPCC criticized the Union government for the alleged scam, demanding the resignation of PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They also appealed for financial aid from the Central government to tackle the severe drought situation in Karnataka, highlighting the impact of deficient rainfall on various regions of the state.
The KPCC’s resolutions also included congratulatory messages to AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge, former CM Siddaramaiah, B.K. Hariprasad, and D.K. Shivakumar for their respective appointments. They expressed gratitude to key party leaders for their roles and support in the state leadership.
