Amid the ongoing leadership uncertainty in the Karnataka Congress, PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi revealed that AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge has indicated a decision on the leadership matter in the state has been made. Jarkiholi, after meeting Kharge in Delhi, stated that the confusion would be resolved shortly.
Kharge assured Jarkiholi and a team of MLAs that the leadership issue in Karnataka would be addressed promptly. Discussions were held to clear the confusion surrounding the state’s leadership, with Kharge providing suggestions on the necessary steps to be taken.
Jarkiholi emphasized the importance of resolving the leadership matter swiftly to avoid prolonged confusion within the party. He highlighted the need for a timely resolution, as delays have already occurred, echoing the sentiments of party workers and leaders.
Former minister and MLA K.N. Rajanna, along with Jarkiholi, met Kharge to discuss state politics, with Rajanna advocating for additional Deputy Chief Minister posts and expressing readiness to take up the role of State Congress President. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah also faced challenges, with accusations of caste prejudice influencing attacks against him.
