Karnataka Home Minister G. Parameshwara highlighted the purpose of the AHINDA convention in Hubballi, focusing on uplifting marginalized communities and integrating them into society. AHINDA represents Alpasankhyataru, Hindulidavaru, and Dalitaru, signifying Minorities, Backward Classes, and Dalits. The movement aims to empower socially, economically, and educationally disadvantaged groups.
Parameshwara emphasized the importance of discussing and resolving issues faced by these communities to facilitate their inclusion in mainstream society. He assured that concerns of Dalits would also be addressed within the AHINDA framework. The Home Minister refrained from commenting on speculations regarding a change in Chief Minister, stating his limited information on the matter.
Supporting the AHINDA convention, Parameshwara stressed the need to encourage marginalized communities to participate actively in societal matters. He acknowledged AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s understanding of the state’s political landscape within the ruling Congress party. The Home Minister expressed pride in Kharge’s leadership and vast experience, hinting at the possibility of him becoming Chief Minister.
Parameshwara clarified recent visits by senior leaders to New Delhi, mentioning discussions on various issues related to protection and internal reservation matters. He addressed criticism over delays in the Speaker’s office regarding certain cases, assuring that due processes would be completed. The issuance of a notification on internal reservation aligns with the government’s decision and is set to facilitate recruitment for approximately 56,000 positions.
