In a tragic incident in Bengaluru South taluk, a massive boulder, pushed by an excavator from an upper quarry, crushed seven workers to death at a stone quarry. The victims, migrant laborers from Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and North Karnataka, were working at the Kaveri Crusher unit in Madapatna village.
The Karnataka Police revealed that the boulder rolled downhill from the upper quarry, owned by a different entity, onto the workers at the lower quarry. Among the deceased were individuals named Ramu, Rajpal Singh, Satyanarayan Singh, Ram Avtar Singh, Rajendra Prasad, Nuhar, and Bhuvaneshwar Singh, aged between their 30s and 40s.
