Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar praised the state for surpassing the World Bank’s ‘Upper Middle-Income threshold,’ highlighting it as a significant achievement that solidifies Karnataka’s standing among India’s top states.

Shivakumar credited the state’s entrepreneurs, farmers, workers, women, and youth for this milestone, emphasizing their collective contributions to Karnataka’s economic advancement.

He also supported the Congress government’s Five Guarantee Schemes, stating that these initiatives have been instrumental in fostering inclusive growth and bolstering the state’s economy.

Shivakumar underscored Karnataka’s consistent demonstration that widespread prosperity leads to enhanced economic performance, emphasizing the correlation between the well-being of the populace and economic success.

The Chief Minister outlined the government’s future focus on generating more job opportunities and economic prospects while ensuring that the fruits of development reach every household in the state.

Shivakumar, during a visit to Kalaburagi, addressed the ongoing drought situation in the Kalyana Karnataka region, assuring affected individuals of forthcoming relief and compensation following a thorough verification process.

He mentioned plans to assess conditions in Belagavi shortly and reiterated the government’s commitment to evaluating rural areas to determine the necessity of announcing relief packages in accordance with legal protocols.

Shivakumar acknowledged the public’s appeals for assistance, particularly from Bidar and surrounding regions, highlighting the establishment of the Praja Seva Department to address grievances effectively and ensure timely responses to petitions.

Assuring a diligent examination of all submissions, Shivakumar pledged fair consideration and appropriate action, emphasizing the government’s dedication to assisting those genuinely impacted by adverse circumstances.
